In the last couple of months I've finished The Last of Us, Tomb Raider and Dead Space 3.
With the Last of Us I was a bit unimpressed with the first third of the game, but it won me over, and by the end I was really impressed. Generally I don't like all this talk of an emotional experience when playing games. Life is full of that, I just want to play, but it wasn't too bad. There are a ton of cut scenes but this is one of the rare occasions where they aren't complete shit.
Tomb Raider was great. Never played one before, but I really enjoyed everything about it.
Dead Space 3 was just as good as 2. Not particularly scary, no survival horror at all, but it's a solid shooter thats more considered than your average run and gun. The cut scenes were a joke though, and I don't think they need to make another. It was certainly worth the £8 I spent on it.
I'm getting back into my shooters at the moment, namely Akai Katana and Saidaioujou.
