Holy Jesus on a firecracker!!! I was watching the trailer and initially the scenery and the theme song was so nice and calming, and then suddenly, BANGGG!!! Did not see that coming. I do not know why but It gave me a "Black Mirror" vibe.
As an amateur designer, I have been mesmerized by the graphics, just the tomb stone did not look like rock, and if you see in second 0:50 of the game, those wood logs, the easiest way to make is the designer creates one log, and they repetitively copy like 10-12 of them, that's why they all look the same, same shape and same size.
Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing more trailers.

i have found this
Considering how great the current screenshots and gifs look, it’s a little surprising that Ethan Carter is being developed on older tech. Using Unreal Engine 3 seems like a strange approach for developers looking to get their games on to PS4 and Xbox One, especially considering the upgrades and capabilities of Unreal Engine 4. “It was simply much safer for us to go with UE3, because we [have been] using it since 2006, and we know how to achieve what we want with it.” Chmielarz explained. “We will switch to UE4, maybe with the next game, but for now UE3 does all we want it to do.”

both UE3 and Crytec 3 are amazing engines, it is more of preference and style to choose which one.
