Linux will only run programs that were written for linux. There is no way to install Windows or Mac software on a linux computer, unless it is a multiple OS software and has multiple versions for each operating system. For example, the program LimeWire runs on windows, but has versions for linux and Mac too. But you can't use a version for windows on linux. In advanced circumstances, you could get a program that "emulates" the Windows or Mac environment so that you could run the software on it. Like I said, that is very advanced and tricky for someone who is not used to working with computers.
