Wouldn't worry about it. What little I saw had nothing new in it.

Well, I didn't watch the Boss Fight videos from a few weeks back, so it's still spoiler-y to me :P

Well not a total waste of time since they seemed to confirm
unlockable costumes
(bonus post game content).

Props to zombifiers for taking notes. The stream confirmed:

+ Classic Mode, a new difficulty that is comparable to AKUMU but has "something crazy" added to it. Limited saves were hinted at.
+ NG+ is returning
+ Film grain option is returning
+ "The look of Sebastian and look of the game" can be changed in NG+. Probably unlockable costumes for Seb, but not sure what "the look of the game" means.
+ There's a shooting range mini game a la RE4 with two separate modes in it: Gallery Mode and Chain Attack Mode
+ Sebastian will tell dad jokes during the mini games
+ The chapters of the game all have titles to them, just like they did in TEW1. Chapter 5 is titled "Lying in Wait"
+ Opening the menu stops time in TEW2, whereas it only slowed it down in TEW1
+ No collector's edition coming
+ No art book coming (though there will be concept art in the strategy guide)

I really hope they've got raincoat Sebastian from TEW1's Prologue as an unlockable.

Oh boy, those scans have some interesting tidbits.

Confirmed there's at least 14 chapters in TEW2 (since it labels Lost as being present in Chapters 2-14), the name of the super tall poison gas enemy is Lament, are the two most interesting things.

I found out a way to make the scans of the six page preview of the strategy guide bigger, so a few additional details. I will spoiler mark anything that delves into more than basic info.

-As said above, confirmed there's at least 14 Chapters in The Evil Within 2 (as 'Lost', the main enemy form in TEW2 (the game's equivalent to the Haunted in the first game) appear in Chapters 2-14).

-There are four difficulties: Casual, Survival, Nightmare, & Classic. Classic is an unlockable difficulty, and seems to have the same enemy damage/health stats as Normal difficulty. However, it's already been hinted heavily twice by Bethesda that Classic Mode has limited saving to it and "something very unique" they don't want to reveal yet for the difficulty.

-Confirmed you can shoot off the limbs of the Lost, such as their arms and legs, but they can regenerate their limbs over time.

-The strategy guide for tackling enemies identifies several different types of bolts as having special properties against certain types of enemies. It seems most Bolts from the original game now have an 'Ex' form (probably an upgradable special property) which has a special property. IE, there's a Shock Bolt and a Shock Ex Bolt, a Harpoon Bolt apparently just does regular heavy damage but a Harpoon Ex bolt has a special property (guessing can pin enemies to walls). The enemy section mentions which special bolt properties do and do not work on which enemies, and which enemies can and cannot be stealth killed.

-The bolts that are said to have special properties on enemies are Harpoon Ex, Fire, Shock, Shock Ex, Smoke, Smoke Ex, Freeze, and Freeze Ex. Smoke Ex seems to be the Poison Bolt that was a pre-order exclusive bolt in the original game since it mentions poisoning enemies.

-So they have an interesting confirmation which I had noticed in some previous gameplay stream footage,
some enemies can be stealth killed but one stealth kill attack won't actually kill then. The Hysteric, a special type of Lost, needs to be 'stealth killed' twice to kill them, the first attempt will damage them but not kill them, and seems other enemies might be like this too.

-Interesting tidbit about one of the tougher enemies seen in some of the trailers,
The Lament (a giant tall sobbing creature that expels green gas) apparently has an almost Redead like function where it'll let out a shriek if it spots you. The shriek not only alerts any nearby Lost, but also as its shrieking it rapidly decreases your stamina to make it harder to get away.

-It seems NPCs don't give side-quests but can point you towards where optional stuff are. It mentions at the start of Chapter 3 there's two things you can talk to
O'Neal (the first NPC)
about, and he will give you coordinates to where the crossbow is and where a 'rogue signal' is. You can find these naturally by exploring as well if you like, though I will mention the 'rogue signal' bit location I haven't actually seen anyone go to in any of the people who've played Chapter 3 so far.

-It seems in the first 'open level',
South Union,
there are the following collectibles:
*8 Files
*2 Slides
*6 Residual Memories

The guide mentions there are the three 'main' type of collectibles in TEW2, but there's also Locker Key Statues and Ammo Pouches around for example, but they don't say how many there are in the location and say those are more supply upgrades than collectibles.

-This was kind of already known, but there are gameplay, item, and enemy differences in the different difficulties. One thing they off-hand mention is on Casual difficulty in the first safehouse there's a box of additional supplies which isn't on the other difficulties.

---

Few misc tidbits.
