Display Ratio

Postby ronaldokemal » Oct 05, 2013 10:58 am

Hi all,

Based on one of Riki's posts;

-The game will be displayed in a 2.35:1 aspect ratio, meaning if you have 16:9 TV, you will get black bars/letterboxes.

Is this for sure? Any further information on it? Can it be adjusted somehow? It's a big problem for most people, since most people use a 16:9 TV.

Yes it is confirmed. I doubt it can be adjusted because they built the game on this ratio.

Did you ever play RE4 when it came out on SDTV? RE4 was 16:9, I played it with an SDTV and got black bars. I got used to it pretty quickly.

Nope, never played that game. In terms of horror, I was addicted to "The Suffering" and the "Manhunt"

Riki, why did you say RE4, RE6 is out too.. Is RE4 better, or RE6 is no good? Which one do you recommend?

I just saw this post, sorry for the late reply.

RE4 is infinitely better than RE6, so I absolutely recommend RE4.

I was reading up on RE4.. it's got great reviews. I guess the only thing I didn't like about it is the "not being able to move and shoot at the same time"

The whole game was designed around not being able to move and shoot, I replayed RE4 after playing a lot of modern shooters with more mobile control schemes, yet I didn't feel a "downgrade". It just... Works.

Few games stood the test of time like RE4... It's up there with games like Super Mario Bros. as a classic game that people will return to and play decades after it's release. Pitch-Perfect pacing, excellent level design and enemy encounters, amazing gunplay, brilliant atmosphere and art... One of the greatest games I've ever played.

i don't know why overhype about RE4.

i mean when i played RE4 i completely lost interest in RE Series i never bothered myself buying nether 5 and 6.

i only bought Revelation because it was praised for going back to it roots.

RE4 would be good to me if it didn't use RE name.
