I don't really think anyone will chose the second option.
Even though I voted for the first option, I wouldn't mind some action moments in the game, as long as it keeps scary and doesn't go COD.

The type of horror we should expect:

He then expanded upon the nature of survival-horror he's aiming for. For Mikami, it's not simply about scaring gamers - it's about scaring them and offering the tools with which to overcome and destroy that fear. Mikami's apparently striving for "pure survival horror".

So, its not going to be something like Amnesia for example.

the problem not is the action in game, is HOW the action is employed in game. I like games that have SH action, such as Dead Space, but it is nonetheless a real survival horror. The actual gameplay of Resident Evil is very good, but it's so much faster if they know employ that kind of camera (which in my opinion is perfect for games SH), will be a major milestone in the current state of horror games. I think only the parts of the puzzle should be cameras in the style of the old SH.

All i would like to have is a monster who chases you throughout the game whom you cannot kill similar to how the first part of resident evil remake is with zombie forest chasing you with the grenade vest.
Worst case scenario??? If There are no more zombies left to kill

I would like to see something like the setting of silent-hill x amnesia, with the monsters of dead space but no guns to kill them just an ax or crowbar like afterfall insanity, and some scenes where you would have to pas loads of monsters by walking or crawling silently not to get noticed, monsters hiding in dark corners (SH totally missed that one) and attacking when you're just close-enough....etc etc

Im gonna go with what Rikitatsu posted. People who are expecting this to be like Amnesia or the older RE games are gonna get disappointed. Mikami just said he is gonna give us the tools to overcome and destroy fear. Im guessing this game will share much more in common with RE4 than it will with his older survival horror games. Tbh I dont care, everything Mikami does turns into gold.
