These are several variations of the sniper enemy. I made him white so that they can be identified from the rest of the enemies. Personally, I like the one on the right with the excessive number of pipes.
An idea sketch I did when I was asked to create an environment specifically to show horror. It was later in the project and I remember having a difficult time visualizing the concept. But I thought it would be interesting if the heads of The Keeper were the entire level.
Another sketch for the horror environment. This one is a mix of industrial atmosphere and red fog or mist.
A kitchen in the mental hospital. In the beginning the hospital was going to be a lot bigger part of the game, so there was a lot of concept art for all of the different rooms in the hospital.
This shows a patient ward of the mental hospital. I designed it with the idea that it was more like a prison than a ward so the impression is that it’s a damp uncomfortable place. The architecture itself is quite interesting in my opinion. But I wouldn’t want to encounter an enemy here, nor would you.
A mysterious experiment room. I thought it would be very scary if the only thing you could see in the entire level were figures of people moving on the other side of the curtains. I proposed the idea but it never made it into the game.
